DIN 1.4510 Sheets and Plates are composed primarily of Chromium (17-19%), with small amounts of Carbon (0.08% max), Manganese (1-2%), Silicon (1-2%), and Nickel (up to 0.5%). This composition provides excellent resistance to oxidation and corrosion, particularly in high-temperature environments. Mechanically, 439 stainless steel offers a tensile strength of approximately 480-620 MPa, yield strength of 205 MPa, and elongation of 35-40%. These properties make it ideal for applications in automotive exhaust systems, heat exchangers, and other industries requiring materials that combine strength, durability, and resistance to both high temperatures and mild corrosion.
