Alloy 20 Sheets and Plates mainly consist of nickel (32–38%), chromium (19–21%), and iron, along with copper (3–4%), molybdenum (2–3%), and trace amounts of carbon, manganese, silicon, and niobium. This alloy is known for its outstanding resistance to sulfuric acid, chloride stress corrosion cracking, and pitting. With a tensile strength of about 551 MPa (80 ksi) and a yield strength of around 241 MPa (35 ksi), it also boasts good ductility and workability. These mechanical properties make Alloy 20 an excellent choice for high-performance applications that require both corrosion resistance and structural integrity.
