Stainless Steel 201 Foils mainly contain 16–18% chromium, 3.5–5.5% nickel, and 5.5–7.5% manganese, along with small amounts of carbon, silicon, and nitrogen. This unique blend provides them with moderate corrosion resistance, solid strength, and excellent formability. In terms of mechanical properties, they boast a tensile strength of about 520–700 MPa, yield strength around 275–450 MPa, and an elongation of 25–35%, making them perfect for bending and shaping. While the foils are non-magnetic in their annealed state, they can become slightly magnetic when cold-worked. Their smooth surface finish is ideal for both decorative and functional uses.
