Stainless Steel 309S Coil/Slitting Coil is an austenitic stainless steel primarily composed of 24-26% chromium and 12-15% nickel, with small amounts of carbon, manganese, silicon, and phosphorus. Its low carbon content (0.08% max) enhances its resistance to sensitization, making it suitable for high-temperature applications. The mechanical properties of 309S include excellent tensile strength (515-690 MPa), yield strength (205 MPa), and elongation of 40%. It offers excellent corrosion resistance, especially in high-temperature environments, and maintains its strength and oxidation resistance at elevated temperatures.
