Aluminium 1100 Angles consist of 99.0% pure aluminium, with just a hint of copper (0.05–0.20%), iron, and a few other elements. This alloy isn’t heat-treatable, but it boasts excellent corrosion resistance, high thermal and electrical conductivity, and superb workability. With a tensile strength ranging from 90–130 MPa and a yield strength of 35–95 MPa, depending on the temper, it’s relatively soft. However, Aluminium 1100 can be strengthened through cold working. It also welds effortlessly and offers a smooth surface finish, making it a great choice for both decorative and functional applications where high formability is crucial.
